Treatment access
Developing referral-navigation and funding models with appropriately qualified providers, subject to funding and clinical safeguards.
EDAA exists to make eating-disorder-informed support more accessible and body-neutral education more welcoming. We are youth-led, community-rooted, and committed to doing the work responsibly.

Eating Disorder Awareness Alliance (EDAA) is a San José–based youth-led nonprofit working to reduce practical and financial barriers to appropriate eating-disorder-informed care for young people.
We also aim to create free, nonclinical spaces for body neutrality, media literacy, movement, and community connection. We partner with professionals rather than replacing the work of qualified providers.
Our work is developing in stages; some goals remain proposals, not open services. We believe honest, responsible communication is part of the care people deserve.
Federal exemption is evidenced by EDAA's IRS determination letter. State charitable registration and donation processing are separate matters; giving functionality is not active until the required checks are complete.

The Chic is a separately branded creative identity associated with EDAA's developing, free, weight-neutral movement concept. Historic studio plans and class schedules do not indicate that classes are currently enrolling.
The Chic's website is being preserved for its own possible future independent development. We keep its branding distinct from EDAA, and any operational or legal future changes will be announced when confirmed.
